Kory and I took a little overnighter this last weekend. We decided to drive to Jackpot for the night and then explore around Twin Falls a little bit. No, we do not have a secret gambling addiction. We just like to go on short road trips and this was just a couple of hours away and .... why not. So, we got there, got checked in, ate the all-you-can eat seafood buffet. And yes, the seafood was as you might expect in Nevada. ;) Here's Kory wrestling with some lobster.
The next morning we took off bright and early and drove to Balanced Rock, a little local site that I'd never really heard of about half an hour outside of Twin Falls.
It was a fun little side expedition. Then we went to Twin Falls, ate breakfast, and walked around the visitor's center and walked along the rim of the canyon.
The drive back was somewhat impeded by the thick smoke from the wildfires. I was feeling really sick to my stomach and my eyes and throat were pretty irritated. Hope they can put those out soon.
