November 2022

November 2022 On November 7, we gathered to celebrate Morgan’s 14 th birthday.  On the 12 th , Kory and I went to the baptism of Hazel, my sister’s daughter. We gave her a cute little unicorn because she loves stuffed animals.  On the 13 th , we put up our Christmas decorations because I was going to have chemo the following week and wouldn’t feel up to it. We had to adjust a little to decorating a new home—some of the decorations don’t fit any more! On the 16 th , I found out that my niece Ainsley had been hit by a car while riding her moped. To make matters more complicated, she has been living and working in Hawaii! So, I woke up to about 30 text messages and was so scared for her. She wasn’t wearing a helmet, but miraculously she’s doing okay. Kristi needed to go over to be with her, so I drove her down to Salt Lake on Wednesday night so that she could catch a super early flight. The next morning, I had a quick breakfast with some of my old roommates. It was so fun to visit

October 2022

October 2022 We enjoyed some beautiful weather throughout October, which Kory used to get as much golf in as possible. On the 7 th , he golfed in St. Anthony with his buddy BJ Rowe and then Camille and I met them in St. Anthony for dinner at Jalisco’s, which was delicious. Lots of times after work, we went to Jefferson Hills and I drove the cart while he golfed. We finally got our landscaping and sod laid! We weren’t sure if it would happen before the snow flew, but we are really happy with how it turned out. We also got asphalt laid on our driveway in the front. On the 16 th , we took my mom and dad up to Teton Valley to look at leaves. We explored some new roads and enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon. On the 21 st , Kory and I visited Austin and Leah’s family since we hadn’t seen them for awhile. On the 25 th , we did a birthday party/Halloween party for Caleb’s 19 th birthday. Everyone came in costume and we ate and hung out. Kory was Bob Ross, and I was his painting. We wore t

September 2022

September 2022 On September 2 our new piano was delivered. We love it! On September 5, most of the family gathered at Rigby Lake for Labor Day. We had lots of food and everyone had fun playing in the water, on kayaks, and playing in the sand. It was a nice, chill day. On September 6 I had my third round of chemo. While we were there, the kids called and said that a kitty showed up on our doorstep. We said, “whatever you do, don’t feed it!” but it was too late. So, we have a kitty. After it kept showing up and of course being lavished with attention, it decided we were it’s new home. I asked on the ward Facebook page if anyone knew whose it was, but no one seemed to. After a few weeks, our neighbor a couple of doors down showed up and said it was their kitty, but they had been out of town and he must have thought he was abandoned. So, the neighbor was so sweet when we saw how disappointed we were. He said, “are the kids really attached to it,” and we said YES, so he said we coul

August 2022

On August 1, we went to the FSY Registration that was held in the basketball courts at the I-Center. We had fun greetings kids and parents and saw lots of people we know. Later that day was the opening session and Kory introduced the both of us and later did a devotional. He does a great job. On the 2 nd , we had a dance at the I-Center and Kory did a devotional. On the 3 rd , I got an emergency massage because my neck and back were all messed up and my fingers kept going numb. I think it was related to getting the port put in, because everything was knotted up around it. On the 4 th , we had a devotional and then Kory and I went to one of the testimony meetings they had in smaller groups. We had another dance on Thursday and some kids came up and asked Kory for his autograph. Overall, we enjoyed hosting FSY. I would like to be more involved if we do it next year—but my health problems kind of interfered. I was finally able to go in during the week to my chemo training and they told m

July 2022

July 2022 On July 2, we had a barbeque at Josh and Kasey’s house because Nicole was in town. Chloe, Morgan, and Phoebe went to the fireworks at Rigby Lake with friends that night. Kory and I didn’t want to deal with the crowds, so we went to Jared and Karna’s house to watch them from their front yard—they live right by the lake. On July 3, we went to Mom and Dad’s to visit, and we tried on little caps to practice for me losing my hair with chemo. On July 4, we went to the LaBelle flag raising and breakfast at 7:00 am. We dropped Morgan off at the Idaho Falls parade to meet up with friends and then Kory and I headed to Victor. We met up with Kory’s family and watched the Victor parade. After that, we walked around the booths set up in the Victor park. We went back to Kory’s dad’s house and had a barbeque. Kory and I headed home and had a nap, and then we went to Rexburg to watch fireworks at my Aunt Ann’s house—their neighborhood puts on a great show. It was fun to see a bunch o
