Memorial Day

Memorial Day weekend featured a lot of family time. Here's some pics from a walk around the greenbelt.   Ellie, my niece, graduated from Madison High School and gave a speech as Salutatorian. She did a great job and I'm very proud of her. After graduation we gathered at the Anderson's for some treats and visited.  Kory and I were laughing at these signs that Caleb and Morgan put up around the neighborhood, inviting people to join a baseball team. Don't think they'll get any takers.  It was so nice on Saturday we had a little pool party and just spent the day in the sun playing and chilling. On Monday we went up to Victor and visited Kory's mom's grave and rode some four-wheelers and had a cook out. After that, we drove over to Jackson Hole and swam at the Aquatic Center. Nice way to kick off summer! Unfortunately, we still have two weeks of school left. :

Chuck-a-Grandpa

Well, Kory's dad is back in the area. He usually spends his winters in St. George, so we're always happy when he comes back this way. He took us all out to Chukorama one night.   Saturday we juggled lots of things. The kids went to a baptism on their mom's side, Kory sang at a funeral, I cleaned and watched Ryker. Everyone got home and Kory mowed the lawn, Phoebe got ready for her Prom date. Last week she went to Hillcrest's prom and this week she went to Skyline's. They paint-balled for their day date. Luckily one of the moms had a nice camera and got some great group photos. After we got Phoebe out the door, Kory and I loaded Chloe and Caleb up and took them to Cress Creek to hike. Chloe fell asleep on the way. We stopped at Heise to get some pizza and it was super crowded, but we still managed to get up on the trail to watch a pretty sunset. I was surprised to get a text from my brother Nathan with some pics of Isaac out on his

DARE to Graduate

Well, it's come. That time every 6th grader dreams of. DARE graduation. Our youngest has now officially finished. After a relatively brief and painless ceremony, we celebrated with some of her friends at Baskin Robbins.  Caleb had Conference Finals for 8th grade track this week. It was fun to also get to see Ainsley run and hang out with my sister Kristi. Ainsley's relay team took first. Wahooo! Caleb ran the 800 and the mile and has plans to run all summer to increase his speed. I stopped by Kory's work to wait for him to go to the meet with me, so I got a picture of him in his native habitat.  Saturday we managed to squeeze a hike in in between rainstorms. We had a nice easy stroll up the Cress Creek trail and enjoyed the view.  Later, we had Morgan spend the night and went on a little ride/walk with her.  Today, everyone was excited to talk to Isaac, so we all hung around waiting for his call. Kory wanted to watch some golf, so every

Spring is Here!

This is Chloe getting zen with Blankie wrapped around her head. Just so you know, Blankie is a member of our family and Chloe's most trusted friend.  Kory received a service award for his years in CES.  Caleb got his personal record at the meet at Ravsten and he was a happy camper.  This is another random Chloe picture, looking like a stained glass window at my parent's house. We had a big Sunday dinner with all of the kids and then played games for a few hours followed by a walk around the Green Belt. Phoebe took a few minutes to give Madi a makeover. :) Lookin' good. Kory and I had a free weekend (for once), so we headed to Salmon and stayed at a hotel right on the river. We ate at the 28 Supper Club and that was good home cooking. The next morning, we took a loop through Montana, and out through Dillon. It was a really pretty drive and a nice little adventure.
