Celebrate Good Times, Come On!

Feels like there were a bunch of celebrations packed into June. On June 14, I went on a ride with my mom and dad up to Island Park. It was their 50th Anniversary, so I treated them to a shake at the Frostop in Ashton. We are having a belated celebration in August when more of the family can be here.  On June 16, Kory and I went to Mesa Falls and hiked from Upper to Lower. It was a gorgeous day and perfect for hiking. That night, we took Lakyn and Morgan to Fuji for some sushi to celebrate Lakyn's birthday! The next day was Father's Day, so we all gathered at Kory's brother Josh's house and also had a birthday cake for Lakyn with everyone there.  During our get together there was a storm and a pretty rainbow after. She was bummed when I told her she couldn't wear the face paint to school.  We said our official good-bys to Austin and Leah and Andy as they headed to Arizona. We've been making good use of Facetime and planning a trip really soon. They are liking it so far down there. Austin has just been doing orientation the first few days at work. (You may not recognize Austin. He took advantage of the time between BYUI and work to grow a beard.) Caleb had his end-of-year choir concert and they sounded pretty darn good for a teeny eighth-grade choir. Caleb has a nice voice and we hope he'll keep singing in high school. One night, just for variety, Kory and drove up on top of the highest mountain in Idaho Falls to watch the sunset. It's where the older Thunder Ridge waterpark used to be, so I guess it's called Thun
