Good-bye Summer

Well, school starts in a couple of days, so we tried to fit in a few last minute summer things. We made a couple of stops at Orange Leaf. Morgan made sure that Friend was well-fed. We visited the East Idaho Aquarium for the first time. It was a really fun, hands-on place. The kids all tried out the virtual reality glasses.   And had fun touching some of the fish. Chloe has been debating for months about what kind of hammock to get for her birthday (which was in March). Fortunately, the one she chose is great! Shawn and Amy's family came for a visit. On Monday night we had a barbecue/FHE at the Anderson's house, with an intense game of Duck, Duck, Goose! Tuesday, Morgan and I joined the two families for a hike to Darby Wind Caves. We will miss her but we are glad she is no longer suffering.

First we tried to go on a cruise with all of the couples, but that didn't work out, so we decided to rent a lodge up in Island Park. Even though everyone couldn't be there, it was so fun to let all of the cousins hang out and play with each other and we definitely look forward to doing it again some time. First, Kristi, Ainsley and I bought a ton of groceries to feed people! Monday night people started arriving around 4:00 p.m. and continued until about 9:00 p.m. The kids were going crazy with the indoor zipline, the outdoor zipline, tons of toys, a theatre room, and etc. Finally, when we are all gathered, we had a devotional and watched some DVDs of old slides from mom and dad's childhood. Everyone found a place to sleep, with the teenagers enjoyi
