November 2021

November 2021 On November 7 we had a birthday party for Morgy-Girl. She just turned the big 13! She wanted doughnuts instead of cake, so we got her a giant doughnut and the rest of us normal-sized doughnuts. When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday, she said “A crap-ton of Takis.” So, we bought her a bunch of Takis and she promptly made a salad and crumbled takis on the top. So, there you go. On November 9, we went to see Caleb perform in the school play, “The Crucible.” He played Giles Corey and he was made to look like an old man. He did a great job with his lines and everyone in the cast did a great job.  From November 10-15, we got to babysit Aidan while his parents were on their honeymoon. It was a big chance to have a little toddler around, but we had so much fun with him. He’s a very chill baby and luckily Kory is great with kids! The next week we all sort of took turns getting sick. I was so sick, I pretty much stayed home for the week and did my classes on Zoo

October 2021

October was busy with a lot of school, work, and family events! On October 1, Kory and I went to the Pocatello Temple Open House. On October 5 Morgan and Chloe went to the Corn Maze for Mutual. On October 9, Idaho Falls High School won the Emotion Bowl, so Chloe was happy. On October 9 Kory and I and some of the kids went to dinner at Austin and Leah’s house.  On October 13 and 14 the big event I had been planning on campus for all the English majors took place. On October 15, Joelle and I went to see the new James Bond movie!  On October 16, I spoke at a Relief Society conference for a married student BYUI stake. On October 19, we met at Reed’s Dairy to celebrate Ryker’s birthday.  On October 20, we went to Chloe’s choir concert. She’s been in the Women’s Choir at Idaho Falls this last semester. That same night I started as one of the facilitators for the Emotional Resilience class for our stake. It’s been a great experience and helped me a lot with my own challenges. On October 23,

September 2021

September was mostly busy with school and getting back into our routine. On September 4, Isaac ran the Pocatello Marathon. He has always been a great runner, but this distance kind of hurt him. He had to go to the medical tent after because he was shaky and weak. He was fine after a while, but we were really worried about him. After that, Kory and I went to Lava Hot Springs.  On September 5, I went to Finn’s baby blessing. I also got really into The Mandalorian and knew my dad would love it, so I signed him up for Disney Plus and watched a few episodes with him. On September 6, Kory and I went to the driving range. Andy started her first day of pre-school. Phoebe enjoyed all the new things she was learning at Austin Kade and got to practice doing hair color on Chloe and cut Kory’s hair. On September 12 Kory and I went to my nephew Pace's baptism. It was such an amazing baptism service.  On September 18, Kory and I went with Austin and Leah to the Spud Days celebration in Sh

August 2021

August 2021 August 3 Kory and I began our roadtrip to the Oregon coast. We headed over through Boise and had a smooth trip, eating junk food and listening to the first Harry Potter on audio book. Unfortunately, we reached Portland around rush hour, so it was a little tense getting through there, but we made it. We were so focused on traffic that we didn’t get gas and then realized there weren’t many gas stations between Portland and the coast. We slid into Seaside on fumes and immediately filled up. Then, we found our cute little Airbnb cottage a little outside of Seaside in a town called Gearhart. It’s a nice, quiet little town. Our Airbnb was located behind a flower shop, so it was surrounded by beautiful flowers and really quiet…not a lot of traffic and other guests like in a hotel.  We unpacked and then headed down to the beach at Seaside. We ate some clam chowder in bread bowls at Mo’s, and then walked down by the water, hoping to see some sunset. It was really cloudy, so we d
