We had fun one weekend watching Ryker while his parents were out of town. He's obsessed with Marvel and his Uncle Caleb, so he was a happy camper all weekend. The kids loved having a little one around the house.  Kory and I had a relatively free weekend last weekend, so I planned a little getaway. We got an awesome airbnb in Wellsville, UT, so Friday after work we drove down to Brigham City and ate at Maddox. Then, we headed down Sardine Canyon to Wellsville and found our rental. It was pretty much a brand new guest cottage with lots of little perks, so we had fun staying there. The next morning, we headed toward Logan, stopping at the American West Heritage Center. When I was at USU I worked one summer at the Festival of the American West. This center is an outgrowth of that festival, only it's now a year-round permanent exhibit. We walked through different places and watched some demonstrations. This is a 1917 farm house. There was a lady there making lunch o

Arizona is Awesome

We're almost to the end of cross-country season but here are a few pics of Kory, LaRell, and Chloe at the Shelley meet.  Kory and I thought conference weekend would be a good time to visit Austin, Leah, and Andy down in Arizona, so we hopped on a plane and got there late Friday night. Saturday Kory focused on winning Andy over--since she doesn't get to see him that often. He brought her a lion costume and she practiced roaring and chasing him around the house. He went on a walk with her to the park. He went swimming with her and let her dunk him. He cuddled her to warm her up after swimming. While she was napping he went with Austin to Top Golf--I tagged along and ate some of their delicious desserts.  When she woke up from her nap, we went to the aquarium.  Then, after she was in bed, we started watching conference. Busy day, fun weekend. We're glad we went.
