Kunz Reunion

So, this was my first time attending a true blue Kunz Reunion--we have get togethers all the time, but you know, they aren't official. So, unfortunately the reunion fell on the busiest weekend Kory has at work--the Melaleuca Picnic. So, the Kory Kunz family was pretty divided. Some of the older kids went up Friday, some Saturday, and we arrived with the little ones on Saturday evening. On Friday night, Kory pitched a couple of softball games for his work team in the Melaleuca Softball Tournament, and did an excellent job. Here are a couple of his fans. Then, Saturday morning, Kory left early and I came later with Chloe and Caleb for some good times at the picnic. There were enough games to keep the kids busy all day, and I cheered them on and chilled underneath the tent while they gave away awesome prizes (we didn't get any). After it ended, we headed home and loaded up for our trip to Victor. It had been rainy all day, which kept things cool but put a

Vernal Visit

Kory spent eight years teaching seminary in Vernal, so he has great memories of the place. He was invited to do a fireside there, so I figured it would be a good chance to see his old stomping grounds. Madison decided to come with us, since she was only four when they left Vernal, so she wanted to visit all the old sites. We drove through Ogden Canyon then through Heber and up toward Vernal. We encountered a pretty heavy storm, which was fun. We stopped in Roosevelt to pick up something from my brother-in-law Evan. My sister will be moving there in the next few weeks, so I kept texting her house ideas while I was driving around. Friday night we went to a session at the Vernal Temple and then just got some dinner and drove around a little. Saw a beautiful sunset at one of the reservoirs. Saturday we joined the Single Adult group for rafting down the Green River. This was the group Kory was doing the fireside for. It was so pretty up there by Flaming Gorge. The water was pre

And the Summer Fun Continues

So, I think I mentioned earlier that we have a summer bucket list that me and the kids at home are trying to work through this summer. First, they all do their chores. Once that is done, we can try to do one of the things on the list. So, here's a few photos from our various adventures. Tautphas Zoo is always fun. It just happened to be raining on the day we went, but we were all armed with umbrellas so we had fun anyway. Another day, we checked out the Pirates! exhibit at the Museum. This week we tried out Blast Off! Overpriced, but fun for the little kids. Phoebe was a little too old for some of the stuff, so she was disappointed she couldn't play in the ball pit. The climbing wall was a hit with everyone, though. And, last but not least, the Rexburg Carousel and Splash Park. My sister watched the kids for a few hours while I got my hair done, then we headed to the park. She stopped by with a couple of her kids--most of them wer

Fourth of July

We had a pre-fourth of July gathering when we took Kenzie's husband, Zach, and the family out for his birthday. Afterwards we went to their house and shot off fireworks. On the fourth, we enjoyed a breakfast with the Gees at Shawn and Amy's. Then, we headed up to Victor to visit the Kunzs, see the parade, eat, and ride four-wheelers. We finished off the night watching the Idaho Falls fireworks from a hill overlooking the valley. It was cool to see all of the action in the valley, but Chloe was pretty underwhelmed by how small the fireworks were, so we probably won't be doing that again. ;)

Sunday Visits

One of the Gee family's long-standing traditions is to get together on Sunday night. This started when I was little, and we would always go visit the Gee grandparents and the Shirley grandparents (always getting treats at both). Since then, we've migrated to my parents house, so as often as we can we go. Here are some photos of Kory and I taking a walk on the farm one Sunday night. The Anderson cousins on Sunday night And here are some totally random shots of us in a rocker wig.
