February Fun

January and February are always slow picture months for me, but here a few little snapshots. One night Kory took Caleb to watch an improv group at BYU-Idaho. Caleb loves watching stand-up and sketch comedy and has even performed some for the Primary talent show. He loved this show so much he waited in line to meet the performers.

Chloe did a great FHE lesson on pornography and online safety but wanted to round out the evening with some good old-fashioned sack races.

Kory, Chloe, and I got some take-out to share with Austin and Leah and Andy one night. We had fun watching Andy show off her wobbly walking and knocking down blocks while watching Moana. Such a cute little family.

Chloe went to a fun Olympics Opening Ceremonies party at her friend Mia's house. She even got a gold medal!

Phoebe volunteered Kory to make dinner for her group for the Sweetheart Ball. Kory made his usual Sunday dinner and Lynette and Monica provided salad, rolls, and dessert. Phoebe's the one at the top with the dark hair, if you didn't recognize her. She said she wanted a change, so she went to the dark side.

  1. It’s nice to get up-dates on you guys, too! Boy, that is no fun playing catch-up. I am going to try to stay on top of it now that we are finally feeling settled!

April 2023

April 2023 On April 1 and 2 we chilled and watched General Conference. On the first, we got a new cat to replace Todd. This cat’s name is Taco, she is a girl, and she’s a tortoiseshell calico. She and Binx have taken quite a while to warm up to each other, but I think we’ll get there. She is cuddly like Todd, so we all like that.  On April 4 I watched Season 3 of The Mandalorian with my dad. On the 5 th , Kory and I took Austin and Leah to the Bee’s Knees for a birthday dinner. They have really great food there and it was fun to visit.  On April 6, we had BYUI Graduation. It was fun to be there, since I’ve missed the past year due to my cancer. On the 7 th , Kory, me, and Caleb babysat for Austin and Leah. It was fun putting the kids to bed and singing with them. Stevie loves the song “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” so we sang that a bunch. On April 8, Kory and I went on a little date. We drove up to Driggs and had dinner at O’ Rourkes and then stopped and visited with m...

Pie Face

Chloe had her tenth birthday and she asked for the game Pie Face. Yep, you've seen it. The one where everyone takes turns getting whipped cream in the face. Here are some precious moments. Chloe also got a little fort-making kit for her birthday, so we've had these structures in the family room for a few weeks now.

January/February 2023

January 2023 On January 3 we helped Caleb move back into his apartment on campus and took Phoebe to Fuji for her birthday dinner. On the 7 th , we went to Austin and Leah’s and had some delicious Olive Garden takeout and watched some of Matilda the Musical. On January 12, we went through the Rexburg temple with my niece Maddie. On January 14 th , I went to a baby shower for my niece Kami. She is the first grandchild to have a baby, so this will be my parents first great-grandchild. On the 27 th , we had a new addition to our household. That afternoon, Phoebe asked me if there was any way we could consider getting another cat. Her friend had to move and wouldn’t be able to take the cat to the new location. For some reason, I agreed, and she picked him up that afternoon. He’s an orange cat, and was originally named Scar, but our girls named him Todd after the Fox and the Hound . Binx was NOT happy at the new family member. He hissed and growled at Todd, who didn’t seem overly c...
