Fall Stuff

Well, October is flying by. We started out with General Conference. We hung out at home on Saturday, listening to the sessions. That night, Kory took the boys to Priesthood Session--Caleb's first. Afterwards they ate at Freddys.

Meanwhile, I took Chloe and Morgan to Sugar City to visit with  Dave, Kelley, and the kids. Kristi and some of her kids were there too. We ended up playing a few games like Apples to Apples and Old Maid. We stopped and ate at Dairy Queen. On Sunday, we went up to Victor for dinner in between sessions, and watched the afternoon session there. After a few four-wheeler rides, we headed home.

The next weekend, we got to see Isaac run at Madison and take first place. Ellie has also been picking up speed and she placed in the top 20 for JV and got a medal. Mom and Dad were there too to see their grandkids run.

Phoebe has been getting ready to try out for basketball, so for Family Night, we went and shot hoops at the high school. Our neighbor is one of the coaches and he let us in the gym and gave Phoebe some pointers.

Phoebe also got to dress up in a formal for her Young Women in Excellence night. Here are some shots with her dad.

And finally, here's Kory with Chloe in the bus-watching chair, one morning before school. Sweet.

April 2023

April 2023 On April 1 and 2 we chilled and watched General Conference. On the first, we got a new cat to replace Todd. This cat’s name is Taco, she is a girl, and she’s a tortoiseshell calico. She and Binx have taken quite a while to warm up to each other, but I think we’ll get there. She is cuddly like Todd, so we all like that.  On April 4 I watched Season 3 of The Mandalorian with my dad. On the 5 th , Kory and I took Austin and Leah to the Bee’s Knees for a birthday dinner. They have really great food there and it was fun to visit.  On April 6, we had BYUI Graduation. It was fun to be there, since I’ve missed the past year due to my cancer. On the 7 th , Kory, me, and Caleb babysat for Austin and Leah. It was fun putting the kids to bed and singing with them. Stevie loves the song “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” so we sang that a bunch. On April 8, Kory and I went on a little date. We drove up to Driggs and had dinner at O’ Rourkes and then stopped and visited with m...

Pie Face

Chloe had her tenth birthday and she asked for the game Pie Face. Yep, you've seen it. The one where everyone takes turns getting whipped cream in the face. Here are some precious moments. Chloe also got a little fort-making kit for her birthday, so we've had these structures in the family room for a few weeks now.

January/February 2023

January 2023 On January 3 we helped Caleb move back into his apartment on campus and took Phoebe to Fuji for her birthday dinner. On the 7 th , we went to Austin and Leah’s and had some delicious Olive Garden takeout and watched some of Matilda the Musical. On January 12, we went through the Rexburg temple with my niece Maddie. On January 14 th , I went to a baby shower for my niece Kami. She is the first grandchild to have a baby, so this will be my parents first great-grandchild. On the 27 th , we had a new addition to our household. That afternoon, Phoebe asked me if there was any way we could consider getting another cat. Her friend had to move and wouldn’t be able to take the cat to the new location. For some reason, I agreed, and she picked him up that afternoon. He’s an orange cat, and was originally named Scar, but our girls named him Todd after the Fox and the Hound . Binx was NOT happy at the new family member. He hissed and growled at Todd, who didn’t seem overly c...
