So, on the fourth of July, I decided to be all ambitious and host a family breakfast at my house. Luckily, Kami, my gardner this summer, worked hard all week and got the lawn and patio looking spiffy. Then, Dad came over early and helped flip pancakes while I made French toast. Shawn and Kristi came with their families, as well as Amy's brother and his family. Everyone brought yummy food and we had a great feast.
After breakfast we went to the parade in Rexburg. There seemed to be a few more floats this year, which was nice. My favorite was the Thriller dance that the Straw Maze did. Those kids were totally rocking out. I decided that it bugs me when parents stand up by the kids and sort of oversee the candy gathering. Sheesh, back off!
After the parade I hung out in my parents nice cold basement and read a book, then I went for a drive with them to Kilgore, home through Island Park, with a nice stop at the Frost Top for a burger, fries, and root beer float. Awesome.
That night I hung out at Kristi's for awhile and then headed home.
