November 2020

November 2020 We started November out with voting. The results were up in the air all week, and then it looked like Biden won. Since then, Trump and his supporters have demanded a recount, so we’ll see what happens. Then we celebrated Morgan’s 12 th birthday! We had a little party at the house and later that week took Morgan and Lakyn out to dinner at The Olive Garden. Kory enjoyed the last nice weekend with a day of golfing with BJ. Austin took Isaac and some friends down to Arizona to pick up their stuff and clear out of their rental. He’s still working remotely and doesn’t report back to work at the office until March, so they will continue living in Idaho until the baby is due. Then, they are hoping he can keep working remotely. We’ll see what happens. Isaac finished his seminary teaching class and was hired to teach part-time. He will be teaching two classes at Idaho Falls High School starting in a couple of weeks. We’re really excited for him. Phoebe tested positive fo...

October 2020

October 2020 On October 2, Kory started to get feverish and achy. As his symptoms lasted, we decided to get him tested for COVID. We ended up going to Madison Memorial in Rexburg for his test on October 4. He started quarantining and we did too, since we had been exposed. I started to get a cold on October 7 but after a few days lost my taste and smell, so I got tested for COVID on October 12. Both of us were positive for COVID. So, we had a long few weeks teaching from home and quarantining. Caleb and Chloe stayed home from school because we weren’t sure if they’d get it. They never seemed to show symptoms. It was a pretty mellow month with lots of books, puzzles, and movie nights as a family. Kory and I didn’t feel great, but we didn’t suffer some of the more severe symptoms others have. On October 24 we finally felt we were safe enough to see the kids, so we had fun hanging out with Austin, Leah, and the girls. That night we drove up to St. Anthony and had pizza at a new r...

September 2020

I went to work one day the first week of September, and then pretty much did nothing the rest of the week, just to get good and bored and lazy for work to officially start. I visited Kory’s class on September 3. He’s teaching the special needs seminary class for the first time this year and he wanted me to observe and give him some suggestions. On Friday, Sep. 4th, Kory and I got lunch at Panda and had a little picnic on the Greenbelt. That night we had the kids and Austin had the girls here, so we played with them, finished a puzzle, and drove Chloe to a football game. On the 5 th , Caleb got up early to catch the bus to his cross-country meet in Soda Springs. Kory and I did our usual Saturday stuff. The other kids were kind of in and out. Isaac and Phoebe got ready to head up to BYU-Idaho. After Caleb got home from his meet, Kory and I watched Jaws with him. Caleb gets fixated on specific shows, and Jaws is one of the latest ones. I hadn’t watched it in a long time, so I was pretty...
