Catch Up

Isaac is enjoying Men's Choir again this semester, so it was fun to hear them sing in devotional.





These shots are just so we can reference how high the snow has been this winter. It's definitely been a hard winter, especially when we commute to Rexburg every day. We are grateful for the safety we have had.



Kory's brother Josh won a trip to Cancun, so we watched his little ones for a day until their babysitter was available. It was fun having them.




Phoebe finished up her basketball season. They didn't win a single game, but she enjoyed playing with her team. Not sure if she'll do it next year, but it was fun while it lasted.


Morgan organized a birthday party for Friend (the bear). I was the only one home, so most of the other attendees were stuffed animals.


The Super Bowl is one of the only times we get together with Kory's brothers, so it was our turn to host. Right after I had bought all the food, we found out they couldn't come, so we invited our friends the Rowe's to come over and Isaac brought some college friends over. I didn't watch the game because I really could not care less about football, but the food and visiting was fun.

Chloe likes to sneak quick game in before bedtime. Kory and I try to be good sports because neither of us are big game players, but if it's a quick game I can hang in there. Headbanz is always a favorite.


 Phoebe went to a little awards dinner for her basketball team. She was honored with the most steals on the team.







Chloe, Kory and I went to watch our niece Ellie in Madison's Distinguished Young Women program. She won a talent and academic award, which totalled $1,000 in scholarships. We were super proud of her and that was a real honor competing against 25 girls. 




Phoebe had her first official date to the Sweetheart Ball with her friend Bridger. She doubled with her friend Hailey and her cousin Ashtyn. She sure looked pretty.

  April 2023 On April 1 and 2 we chilled and watched General Conference. On the first, we got a new cat to replace Todd. This cat’s name is Taco, she is a girl, and she’s a tortoiseshell calico. She and Binx have taken quite a while to warm up to each other, but I think we’ll get there. She is cuddly like Todd, so we all like that.  On April 4 I watched Season 3 of The Mandalorian with my dad. On the 5 th , Kory and I took Austin and Leah to the Bee’s Knees for a birthday dinner. They have really great food there and it was fun to visit.  On April 6, we had BYUI Graduation. It was fun to be there, since I’ve missed the past year due to my cancer. On the 7 th , Kory, me, and Caleb babysat for Austin and Leah. It was fun putting the kids to bed and singing with them. Stevie loves the song “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,” so we sang that a bunch. Pie Face

Chloe had her tenth birthday and she asked for the game Pie Face. Yep, you've seen it. The one where everyone takes turns getting whipped cream in the face. Here are some precious moments. Chloe also got a little fort-making kit for her birthday, so we've had these structures in the family room for a few weeks now.

January/February 2023

  January 2023 On January 3 we helped Caleb move back into his apartment on campus and took Phoebe to Fuji for her birthday dinner. On the 7 th , we went to Austin and Leah’s and had some delicious Olive Garden takeout and watched some of Matilda the Musical. On January 12, we went through the Rexburg temple with my niece Maddie. On January 14 th , I went to a baby shower for my niece Kami. She is the first grandchild to have a baby, so this will be my parents first great-grandchild. On the 27 th , we had a new addition to our household. That afternoon, Phoebe asked me if there was any way we could consider getting another cat. Her friend had to move and wouldn’t be able to take the cat to the new location. For some reason, I agreed, and she picked him up that afternoon. He’s an orange cat, and was originally named Scar, but our girls named him Todd after the Fox and the Hound . Binx was NOT happy at the new family member.
