Kory and I joined his parents and his brother's families for a trip to String Lake in Grand Teton National Park. We did not have our kids, but we had our granddaughter Morgan. It was a perfect fall day--a little cool, but no wind. Luckily, we found a couple of picnic tables, so we had a great picnic lunch and then went on a nice hike to Leigh Lake. The kids took off their shoes and waded for awhile. On the way back, Morgan wanted to climb all the rocks she could find. They waded again at String Lake and then we headed home.
Chloe had her tenth birthday and she asked for the game Pie Face. Yep, you've seen it. The one where everyone takes turns getting whipped cream in the face. Here are some precious moments. Chloe also got a little fort-making kit for her birthday, so we've had these structures in the family room for a few weeks now.
