Life Goes On

Time for an update I think. First of all, I've ben stricken with a weird affliction. The week of my birthday, March 13 I started having severe joint pain in pretty much every joint in my body. I wasn't sleeping, I could hardly walk, I just kind of hobbled around. Kory and I were pretty freaked out. I have never had anything like this happen before. I went to the doctor and he gave me some medicine that didn't even touch the pain, so I went on some steroids a few days later and it nipped it in the bud. So, I still have some twinges in my hands and feet and will probably try to see a specialist when my schedule calms down. The doctor did some blood work but it was inconclusive. He said it could be a virus, polymyalgia, or arthritis. It could also be just a reaction to a huge amount of stress and a big old life change. Who knows. For my birthday, Kory and Maddie and I went to dinner at Red Robin and then Kory and I went to Heise Hot Springs and soaked--made my joints feel go...

Some Wedding Snapshots

Life As We Know It

Well, time for an update, now that I've been married about a month. We had very little time to lollygag, because I needed to move and sell my house a week after the wedding. We had lots of help from family, friends, and ward members to accomplish this gargantuan task. Of course, getting the stuff moved here was just half the battle. The next task is finding places to put things!! Of course the kids had fun rummaging through the boxes....lots of new things to dress up in and play with. They will probably be bummed when it's all put away. One night we came home and they had set up a little date night for us, with instructions. One of which was, "No Cell Phones." So cute. We've just been busy doing normal stuff. Homework with the kids, mutual, scouts, visiting family. I told Kory it seems like we've always been married. Kind of weird how that works. Definitely feel like a lucky woman.

Mini-Honeymoon

Well, there will be many marriage photos to come, but I'm going to skip ahead a little. After the reception, Kory and I got in my car and went to my house to pack. That took awhile since I was exhausted and wanted to sit down and rest. Then we went to the car wash to get the decorations off the car. Then we went to Maverick to get gas. Then we stopped at the Wendy's drive-in because we were both starving. We headed toward West Yellowstone and got as far as Ashton and they told us the road was closed because a semi had jack-knifed. They said we were welcome to wait...it would only be around an hour and a half. No thanks. We headed back to my house.  The next morning we repacked and headed toward West Yellowstone, stopping in Ashton to go to church. When we came out there was a full-scale blizzard going on. I texted my dad and said "Driving through major blizzard now. Didn't think the opposition would start so early in our marriage." We made it to our awesome ...

My Last Day of Singlehood

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I feel that I should say something profound....but I can't think of anything. The last few weeks have been full of wedding stuff. I can hardly even remember what we did. One of the most exciting things is that Madison got her mission call to Utica New York and went through the temple. That means she will be able to be at our sealing tomorrow. In fact, on Wednesday me, Kory, and her went through a session at the Rexburg Temple. It was great. I've been doing all the pre-bride stuff: teeth whitened, hair colored/trimmed, toes and nails done, etc. In fact, yesterday I spent four hours at the spa doing some pretty awesome treatments. First I did a facial, which was heavenly. My face has probably never been that clean in my life. After that I did a body polish which was totally new. So, you lay down on this massage table and they scrub you down with a mixture of sugar and oils. Apparently sugar is a great exfoliant. Then they lowered this steam tent ov...
