On March 6, Kory, Chloe, and I decided to go see Phoebe in
action at her job at the Olive Garden and treated ourselves to a delicious
dinner. Luckily, Phoebe was able to join us because she was at the end of her
shift.
On March 13, Kory and I went to dinner at the Sandpiper for
my birthday, then walked for a minute along the Greenbelt. Then we went to the
mall and I got myself some birthday presents. This was also the beginning of
the Covid19 scare, so things were starting to shut down a little and they
cancelled church that weekend. On March 14, Kory and I grabbed some pie from Broulims
to celebrate Pie Day.
On March 18, we had an early birthday party for Chloe, since
she would be at her mom’s on her actual birthday. We had cake and ice cream and
played basketball and had a little dance party.
Things continued shutting down
over the next week, so Kory and I both started working from home a lot more. We
went out to eat with Phoebe and Isaac on March 21—the only time I haven’t seen
a wait at Texas Roadhouse. On the 22nd, Kory and I had our church at
home and then went for a drive through Swan Valley, Driggs, Ashton, and home.
The next week was pretty mellow. The kids were at their mom’s
for Spring Break. Morgan was with her Dad in Utah and got to feel the
earthquake! When she got back, Phoebe treated her to a makeover and her mom got
flowers for her, so she got to feel special that day. We also watched Cheaper by
the Dozen on Disney Plus.
On the 30th I went back to Rexburg to pick up
some stuff from my office and have a socially distant visit with my sister. Kory
and I officially set up office in our home and figured out how to share our
workspace. The kids had board game marathons and in general spent more time
together than they have in years. I think we all kind of enjoyed wiping our
calendars clean and enjoying our time together. Just to keep things exciting,
Idaho had an earthquake too and we just basically decided the world was ending.
