The Fun Club

So the little kids have been watching some Little Rascals and they've become obsessed with the idea of having clubs. They started a club called The Fun Club. Basically, this means they do the things they always do, but they have a meeting first to decide what they are going to play. In fact, sometimes they'll be in the middle of playing something and Caleb will say, "Guys, we should have had a meeting first!" Then they all run into Chloe's room and lock the door. I've never sat in on one of these meetings, but it for some reason involves a laundry basket and a gavel. We've also had our granddaughter staying with us, since her mom got a new job which requires nights. Chloe and Caleb are having a blast having a new partner in crime. Here are a few shots of some of their shenanigans. There are some kids in there.  Reed's Dairy Yoga Class Of course, there is the usual dissension in the club, and there have been a few shouting matches, cha

Our Senior

Well, the past few weeks have definitely been all about Isaac. He's finishing his senior year, applying for a mission, applying for college, completing his last season of track and basically, hitting a lot of milestones. This past week Kory and I were planing on a little trip to St. George, but then we realized we'd probably be there when Isaac received his mission call. We decided to cancel our plans and stick around here, so that we wouldn't be holding anything up if the call came. We hoped the call would be here Thursday night, because Isaac had a track meet in Boise which he had to leave for on Friday. Of course, it didn't get here Thursday. So, Kory, me, and Isaac headed over to Boise for the meet--found out right before his race that his call had arrived. Luckily, he was able to focus and took first in the two mile at 9:32. After that, we headed to the hotel and then went and got some dinner. Then we went to the Meridian Temple site, which

Birthday Party

So, it took us a few weeks to get this to happen, but we finally got a birthday party arranged for Chloe and her friends from school. They came over on Friday, played games, had pizza, cake, ice-cream, and watched some movies. Everyone seemed to be having fun--at least the constant squealing seemed to indicate that they were. Kory photobombing I told Caleb he kind of needed to lay low, and he was being obedient, but then one of the girls noticed his Goosebumps dummy, Slappy, and that was all the invitation he needed. Next thing I know, he has all of his Goosebumps paraphernalia exhibited around the room, waiting for people to ask him about it. Several of the girls stayed overnight for a slumber party. We took them to McDonalds for breakfast and then bowling at Bowlero and then took them home. It was relatively painless, when all was said and done.

Spring Track

Track is in full swing, with both Phoebe and Isaac running. We especially like it when they are at the same meet, so we don't have to try and be two places at once. Yesterday was the Shelley meet, and the weather was gorgeous. Here are some pictures of Phoebe and Isaac warming up and then Isaac running. I didn't get any pictures of Phoebe. Isaac won the 800 and the mile. Always fun to watch him, because he loves to come from behind. In fact, he started the mile dead last and then hung back for a couple of laps and then passed everyone in the last two laps. Phoebe has placed first in the 800 at a couple of meets, but yesterday she wasn't feeling good and ended up not running the mile.
