Labor Day

Kory and I joined his parents and his brother's families for a trip to String Lake in Grand Teton National Park. We did not have our kids, but we had our granddaughter Morgan. It was a perfect fall day--a little cool, but no wind. Luckily, we found a couple of picnic tables, so we had a great picnic lunch and then went on a nice hike to Leigh Lake. The kids took off their shoes and waded for awhile. On the way back, Morgan wanted to climb all the rocks she could find. They waded again at String Lake and then we headed home.

The Second Wives Club

I don't have any pictures of this, but I want to remember it. Last Thursday and Friday I drove down to Utah to get together with old roommates. Since three of us have married divorced men, I call us the "Second Wives Club." Anyway, it was so great to just talk and catch up with these wonderful friends and share laughter and tears and insights. I'm so grateful for these amazing friends I've been blessed with. Here's a photo of a few of them from a previous visit--we were too busy talking to take any pictures. We mostly just hung out at my friend Wendy's gorgeous new house in Eagle Mountain, but we ended our festivities with lunch at the Trellis Cafe at Thanksgiving Point. Yummy.
