Kunz Krazies

 On March 4 I played at the stake baptism, then went and got a massage. It helped somewhat with the neuropathy in my hands. That’s the main side effect of the chemo that I’m dealing with. I’m taking medication for it as well, but I still have pretty much constant tingling in my hands and feet. On March 12, my mom made a birthday cake for me and we had a little pre-birthday celebration for my 52 nd birthday. She made lemon sour cream pound cake—my favorite. On the 13 th , Phoebe woke me up with a call from Kory. He had forgotten his laptop to teach early morning seminary, so I jumped in the car and drove it to him. He had his whole class come outside to the car and sing happy birthday to me. That was just the first of all of his classes. He facetimed me throughout the day, having each of his classes sing to me.   January 2023 On January 3 we helped Caleb move back into his apartment on campus and took Phoebe to Fuji for her birthday dinner. On the 7 th , we went to Austin and Leah’s and had some delicious Olive Garden takeout and watched some of Matilda the Musical. On January 12, we went through the Rexburg temple with my niece Maddie. On January 14 th , I went to a baby shower for my niece Kami. She is the first grandchild to have a baby, so this will be my parents first great-grandchild. On the 27 th , we had a new addition to our household. That afternoon, Phoebe asked me if there was any way we could consider getting another cat. Her friend had to move and wouldn’t be able to take the cat to the new location. For some reason, I agreed, and she picked him up that afternoon. He’s an orange cat, and was originally named Scar, but our girls named him Todd after the Fox and the Hound . Binx was NOT happy at the new family member.   December 2022 On December 2 Isaac graduated from his Radiation Technician program, which qualifies him to work at nuclear sites such as the INL. The INL didn’t have openings, so he’s going to be living and working in Los Alamos, NM starting in January. We will miss him, but we’re also excited for this new adventure for him. On December 8 was the ward party, and Kory and I oversaw the music. We had the Primary kids sing three songs and then led the ward in a sing along. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. On December 11, the Primary kids sang in sacrament meeting. As I mentioned awhile back, Kory is the Primary chorister and I’m the pianist and we have a blast doing it. On December 10 we went to lunch at Stockman’s with all the teachers and staff at the Skyline Seminary. It was a delicious meal, and we had a good time visiting.   November 2022 On November 7, we gathered to celebrate Morgan’s 14 th birthday.  On the 12 th , Kory and I went to the baptism of Hazel, my sister’s daughter. We gave her a cute little unicorn because she loves stuffed animals.  On the 13 th , we put up our Christmas decorations because I was going to have chemo the following week and wouldn’t feel up to it. We had to adjust a little to decorating a new home—some of the decorations don’t fit any more! On the 16 th , I found out that my niece Ainsley had been hit by a car while riding her moped. To make matters more complicated, she has been living and working in Hawaii! So, I woke up to about 30 text messages and was so scared for her. She wasn’t wearing a helmet, but miraculously she’s doing okay. Kristi needed to go over to be with her, so I drove her down to Salt Lake on Wednesday night so that she could catch a super early flight.   October 2022 We enjoyed some beautiful weather throughout October, which Kory used to get as much golf in as possible. On the 7 th , he golfed in St. Anthony with his buddy BJ Rowe and then Camille and I met them in St. Anthony for dinner at Jalisco’s, which was delicious. Lots of times after work, we went to Jefferson Hills and I drove the cart while he golfed. We finally got our landscaping and sod laid! We weren’t sure if it would happen before the snow flew, but we are really happy with how it turned out. We also got asphalt laid on our driveway in the front. On the 16 th , we took my mom and dad up to Teton Valley to look at leaves. We explored some new roads and enjoyed a gorgeous afternoon. On the 21 st , Kory and I visited Austin and Leah’s family since we hadn’t seen them for awhile. On the 25 th , we did a birthday party/Halloween party for Caleb’s 19 th birthday.   September 2022 On September 2 our new piano was delivered. We love it! On September 5, most of the family gathered at Rigby Lake for Labor Day. We had lots of food and everyone had fun playing in the water, on kayaks, and playing in the sand. It was a nice, chill day. On September 6 I had my third round of chemo. While we were there, the kids called and said that a kitty showed up on our doorstep. We said, “whatever you do, don’t feed it!” but it was too late. So, we have a kitty. After it kept showing up and of course being lavished with attention, it decided we were it’s new home. I asked on the ward Facebook page if anyone knew whose it was, but no one seemed to. After a few weeks, our neighbor a couple of doors down showed up and said it was their kitty, but they had been out of town and he must have thought he was abandoned.
