January was a fun mix of everyone getting sick and all of our cars breaking down! A new strain of COVID made the rounds and caused school shutdowns and remote classes. Caleb’s car stopped working and we tried changing spark plugs, checking fuel pumps and filter and etc, with no luck. Then the transmission on our Honda Pilot went out! On top of that, really cold weather. Not my favorite.
On January 3, we celebrated Phoebe’s 21st birthday.
On the 10th, we went to watch Isaac’s girlfriend Lauren play
volleyball. On the Martin Luther King Jr holiday we took Chloe and Morgan up to
Island Park to the Marriott for an overnight stay. It was fun to eat out, play
in the pool and hottub, and enjoy the pretty scenery. We had a little family
gathering to watch football playoffs, do puzzles with the grandkids, eat and
visit. All in all, a pretty mellow January.
