Christmas 2016

This year the kids were with their mom in the week leading up to Christmas, so it was pretty quiet around our house with just us and Morgan. One night we let her choose whether to go to a movie or go look at the Festival of Lights. She chose the lights, so we drove through Freeman Park and saw the light display, went to the house with the music and lights, and then got a treat at Broulims. She had a fun time. She had fun running a school in our piano room, and she gave Kory and I homework, and graded our assignments. Both Kory and I got in trouble in class--me for tattling on Kory too much. :) Luckily Morgan got to party with some other relatives (she was getting pretty bored with us), spending a night at Grandma Andrus's and then at her dad's. We joined the Gee Christmas Eve party. We enjoyed caroling with Belle and Ainsley on our laps. I'm in the red hat. After caroling, we had dinner at the Moss's and then headed home. We watched While You Were

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

We always like to visit this house in I.F. that has a light-show and a radio station to tune into.  The kids also like going with their Andrus cousins to go caroling, so we got them all bundled up to do that. I decided to splurge this year and get some monogrammed stockings... Chloe did an excellent job in her 5th grade Christmas concert. The Gee family gathered one night for a Christmas sing-along. Kory did a couple of his songs and then mom accompanied us on the Christmas carols. Always gets me in the Christmas spirit. Let the Christmas countdown continue!

December Doings

On Monday, the Gee Family sang at the Visitor's Center for an hour. It turned out pretty well, but it's always a bit of a headache arranging everything. The Kunz kids were not singing, but they hung in there and listened. We all enjoyed the chocolate/carmel dipped pretzels we purchased from Ellie, who is selling them to raise money for her choir tours. Every night for the past few weeks, we have been adjusting Caleb's retainer. His teeth have to be spread apart so that his adult teeth can come in on top. So here is the nightly process. On Thursday night, we had the Christmas dinner for the area seminary teachers and they asked Kory to be the entertainment. He kept it simple with a couple of stories and a song. He did great. Friday night we went to one of Phoebe's home games at Skyline. Grandpa Kunz happened to be in town for a funeral so he joined us, along with Austin and Leah. Grandpa Kunz is a great athlete and loves basketball, so he was

Morgan's Baptism

Saturday was a special day for Morgan. She chose to get baptized. We got her ready to go and then headed to the church to get her baptism clothes. She had asked Isaac to baptize her, so he was there with her getting his clothes. She also got to attend a special Activity Day on Friday for all of the girls in the stake about the scriptures. After the baptism we had lunch at our house for whoever wanted to come over. We ended up with a houseful. Later that night, Kory and I went to the concert at BYUI with David Archuleta and Nathan Pacheco. We loved it.
