Update with No Pictures

Well, I want to report on the last couple of weeks, but I didn't bother to take any pictures, so it will be a little boring. Our anniversary was February 15, but we had the kids all weekend, and Kory was at the golf thing with his brothers, so we celebrated the following weekend. On February 17 I went to BYUI's production of Antigone. Occasionally I teach a Drama class, where we study plays and this happens to be one of those semesters. I had the class read the version of Antigone that BYUI is producing and had Richard Clifford, the director, come and talk to the class for a Q&A. In addition, three of my students are in the production. So, it was really fun to go see it. They set it in a futuristic, dystopian Greece, and it made it really interesting. Really enjoyed it. On February 18, my friends Wendy and Bob stopped by Rexburg on their way to spend a few days in West Yellowstone, so we met for lunch at Applebee's and chatted. Always great to see them. On Februar

Simplot

Well, the track season has begun. Isaac had his first race of the season at the Simplot Games at ISU last night. He did awesome, placing 15th out of over 200 runners. He got a 4:30 on the mile. Wahoo! He will run again on Saturday for the finals. I didn't get fabulous pictures, but he's the one in orange.

Pebble Beach Pro Am

As some of you know, Kory lost his older brother, Todd, in a car accident about four years ago. One of the last things Todd said to his brothers was "We should go to the Pebble Beach Pro Am."  So, this year, in honor of Todd, Kory and his brothers and father are there in California watching the tournament. That definitely beats February in Idaho! They are having a great time, and have spotted some celebrities (Bill Murray) and watched their favorite golfer, Phil Mickelson, in the lead. I'm so happy he gets to do this. Bill Murray Phil Mickelson Bill Murray Kory was telling me which celebrities were there. He said, "There's this really handsome guy that all of the girls are excited about. Josh...something," "Josh Duhamel." "Oh, you know who he is?" "Uhhh, yeah." He didn't send me any pictures of him. Dang!

Kory's Brush with Greatness

He also did a great Primary/FHE on the Liahona, and the kids were pretty convinced that this might be the real thing. (it's made out of a hamster wheel). Last, he is currently enjoying a great trip with his brothers and dad at the Pebble Beach Pro Am golf tournament. This is pilgrimage of sorts, since one of his brother Todd's last conversations with his brothers before he died was about going to the Pro Am tournament. So, this is the year. This is the perfect time of year to escape Idaho's frigid temps and go to California. So, Kory had a funny week. We were watching the Super Bowl at his brother Josh's house and this commercial came on which features Kory. Unfortunately, it's about nighttime urination, complete with sound effects. It's not Kory in that part of the commercial, but as soon as they say "Having trouble with night time urination" it shows Kory nodding his head and talking to a doctor. We about died laughin
