Fireworks

After the zoo, we drove to Victor through Swan Lake. We spent the afternoon with Kory's parents, riding four-wheelers, playing ping-pong and pool, watching World Cup and having hamburgers. Later that night we went to Huntsman Springs for the fireworks. We were right at the front by the stage because Kory's dad purchased VIP passes. We listened to the program and really liked the Beach Boys (me and the girls rushed the stage, ha). The fireworks were spectacular. We got home at 1:00 in the morning, but it was worth it.

The Zoo

Friday night we chilled at home, doing different projects. We got take-out Chinese and then Phoebe entertained all the kids by choreographing a band lip synch. What a creative girl. Saturday was a busy day. First, we went to the Tautphas Park Zoo. We had free tickets from Melaleuca. It was fun to take the whole family. We even got Isaac to come and he knows the place like the back of his hand because he LOVED the zoo as a kid. Everyone says he always pretended to be an animal when he was little.

Star Light, Star Bright

The other night, Chloe had the great idea to lay out on the lawn and look at the stars. Of course, it was still light and there were no stars, and we weren't going to negotiate on bedtime, so I said, "We can watch the first stars come out." It ended up being so fun and sort of magical. I don't remember watching the stars come out since I was little.

Trips 'n Stuff

Lately I've been asked to do some speaking assignments either with Kory or I get asked and make Kory do it with me. It's definitely less stressful when we do it together. So, last week we went to Rock Creek and spoke at a Girl's Camp. We got up there a little early so we took a drive to Cave Falls. The wildflowers were beautiful. A couple of days later, Kory and I headed down to Utah for his nephew's wedding. We got to Salt Lake in time for the ceremony in the temple. After that we hung out with family and chilled until the reception that night in South Jordan. The reception was in the bride's beautiful backyard. Kory and I enjoyed dancing together for the first time when they had dancing. Then things got really crazy when Kory's sister started throwing people in the pool. Luckily, we both stayed dry. The next day Kory went golfing with his family and I hung out with some old friends. That night Kory did a fireside f

Celebrations

There's always something to celebrate in the Kunz house, whether it's a birthday or mission call or something. Here's a couple of outings. One was for Madison leaving for the MTC. The other was Lakyn's birthday. Red Robin for Madi's Farewell Kory and his Mom  A New York Flag for Madi Lakyn's Birthday

Chukars Game

One of the perks of Kory's work is that they give him game tickets. So, we and the kids enjoyed a night in the Melaleuca box seats at the Chukar's game. I think I paid more attention to the food than the game, but there was still great ambience.
