Mini-Honeymoon

Well, there will be many marriage photos to come, but I'm going to skip ahead a little. After the reception, Kory and I got in my car and went to my house to pack. That took awhile since I was exhausted and wanted to sit down and rest. Then we went to the car wash to get the decorations off the car. Then we went to Maverick to get gas. Then we stopped at the Wendy's drive-in because we were both starving. We headed toward West Yellowstone and got as far as Ashton and they told us the road was closed because a semi had jack-knifed. They said we were welcome to wait...it would only be around an hour and a half. No thanks. We headed back to my house.  The next morning we repacked and headed toward West Yellowstone, stopping in Ashton to go to church. When we came out there was a full-scale blizzard going on. I texted my dad and said "Driving through major blizzard now. Didn't think the opposition would start so early in our marriage." We made it to our awesome

My Last Day of Singlehood

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I feel that I should say something profound....but I can't think of anything. The last few weeks have been full of wedding stuff. I can hardly even remember what we did. One of the most exciting things is that Madison got her mission call to Utica New York and went through the temple. That means she will be able to be at our sealing tomorrow. In fact, on Wednesday me, Kory, and her went through a session at the Rexburg Temple. It was great. I've been doing all the pre-bride stuff: teeth whitened, hair colored/trimmed, toes and nails done, etc. In fact, yesterday I spent four hours at the spa doing some pretty awesome treatments. First I did a facial, which was heavenly. My face has probably never been that clean in my life. After that I did a body polish which was totally new. So, you lay down on this massage table and they scrub you down with a mixture of sugar and oils. Apparently sugar is a great exfoliant. Then they lowered this steam tent ov

Le Weekend

It was a pretty eventful weekend. Madison got her mission call to the Utica New York mission. She'll leave in June. Saturday morning I made my first cross country ski trip with Joelle and Paula. We went up Teton Canyon. Afterwards we ate at a great Mexican place--I had huevos rancheros. Yummm. When I got back I headed straight to my sister's house so we could go to Costco to get paper plates, cups, etc for the wedding. Ainsley and Eli tagged along and jammed out to their tunes. It's pretty cute to hear Eli sing "Let it go, let it go" from Frozen. That night they honored my Dad's high school basketball team for taking state about fifty years ago. It was fun to cheer for them and to watch a good old Digger basketball game. It's been awhile. Sunday I went to Kory's stake conference and then spent time with a bunch of, eventually, very disappointed Bronco's fans. I was much more interested in the food myself. (Footba
